BRASS SPORT

Around 1550, brass was purposefully cast for the first time and thus offered various applications. However, with the beginning of the industrial age, writing instruments were mainly made of ebonite. At the same time, brass was only used for decorative parts such as clips and decorative rings. Later, ink cartridges made it possible to use brass for the writing instruments themselves because the ink hasn't been in contact with the metal surface.

Writing instruments of the series Kaweco Brass Sport develop a natural and unique patina over time. It is a surface change that occurs due to user-related, chemical or corrosive influences. As a result of this every Kaweco Brass Sport becomes a unique item over time. The writing instrument already presses lightly onto the paper by itself because of the high weight. This feature makes it possible for you to write long and comfortable.

Kaweco Sport and AL Sport use international short cartridges (comes with one blue), and can also be equipped with the Kaweco Mini Converter (Sold separately).

Please note: This raw material will change its patina during usage.

We’re playing it safe. Due to risks of freezing, from Dec. 1st to May 1st, all cartridges and ink orders will be fulfilled and shipped (as per your request), however we will not assume responsibility for any damages.
